If you plan on visiting the Philippines any time soon, don’t take off without a prepaid SIM card. The Philippines SIM card provides a simple, convenient, and affordable way for any traveler to make and receive those all-important calls while abroad.

The Philippines prepaid SIM card is a practical option for using your existing world phone as a prepaid Philippines cell phone while you’re in the country at a better rate than you’d pay for a Philippines cell phone rental. It’s also a trouble-free ticket to using the same options that the Filipinos themselves use—the local Filipino cell phone system. The SIM chip, combined with an unlocked GSM World cell phone, helps you keep the lines of communication open without being burdened by high international roaming surcharges applicable when you use your “home” SIM card abroad. You’ll likewise enjoy the benefit of international SMS text messaging, voicemail, GPRS, a local cell phone number in the Philippines, and FREE incoming calls. The prepaid feature gives you complete control over your costs, and with our low domestic and international calling rates, having a cell phone in the Philippines is affordable for all. Access to customer service from your Philippines cellular phone is available 24 hour a day, so you’ll always have assistance with any unexpected issues or questions about your calls. No yearly contract, monthly charges, or credit check is involved.

Your Philippines SIM Card will require a SIM-unlocked GSM cell phone that supports the 900 and 1800 frequencies. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for your consideration. Please click here for more information.

Additional airtime is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called top up cards. These airtime vouchers are available in the following denominations:

To add airtime to your Philippines SIM card, simply:

  • Scratch the card to reveal the 14 digit voucher code
  • Dial 1510 + 14 digit PIN and [SEND]
  • A voice prompt will confirm your successful reload

To check your balance simply dial 1515 [SEND

Remember you do not need to purchase another Philippines SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted; you only need a Philippines recharge voucher! Incoming calls are always completely free, even when you run out of airtime.

Service Life

The Buddy prepaid SIM card must be activated before the expiration date printed on the back of the card. If you do not arrive in the Philippines with your local Philippines SIM card before the expiration date, your SIM card will be invalid. Every time you add airtime to your SIM card, the airtime is valid for 60 days. Any remaining airtime will be forfeit after this 60 day period. When your account balance reaches $0 (zero) you have 120 days to reload additional airtime to keep your SIM card active. During this 120 day time period you can continue to receive free incoming calls.
