If you plan on visiting Malaysia any time soon, don’t take off without a prepaid SIM card. The Malaysia SIM card provides a simple, convenient, and affordable way for any traveler to make and receive those all-important calls while abroad.

The prepaid SIM card for Malaysia is a practical option for using your existing world phone as a prepaid Malaysia cell phone while you’re in the country at a better rate than you’d pay for a Malaysia cell phone rental. It’s also a trouble-free ticket to using the same options that the Malaysians themselves use—the local Malaysian cell phone system. The SIM chip, combined with an unlocked GSM World cell phone, helps you keep the lines of communication open without being burdened by high international roaming surcharges applicable when you use your “home” SIM card abroad. You’ll likewise enjoy the benefit of voicemail and FREE incoming calls. The prepaid feature gives you complete control over your costs, and with our low domestic and international calling rates and 10 second billing intervals, having a cell phone in Malaysia is affordable for all. Access to customer service from your Malaysia cellular phone is available 24 hour a day, so you’ll always have assistance with any unexpected issues or questions about your calls. No yearly contract, monthly charges, or credit check is involved.

Your Malaysia SIM Card will require a SIM-unlocked GSM cell phone that supports the 1800 frequency. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for your consideration. Please click here for more information.

Adding Airtime

Your Digi Prepaid Plus SIM card comes preloaded with RM 50.00 (US $13.00) worth of airtime. To add airtime you will need to purchase airtime vouchers, which are available in two denominations; RM 50 and RM 100.

Add airtime to your Malaysia SIM card with one of the following options:

  • Starcodes: Using your mobile phone, key in *123-Your 14 digit reload PIN-# (e.g. *123567654567876543#), then press [SEND]
  • Call 016 299 1800 and follow the instructions on how to reload
  • Buy additional reload air time at a host of Digi Centres, authorized dealers, selected ATMs, petrol stations, and convenience stores

Please note that your prepaid Malaysia SIM card can no longer be used when the calling balance reaches $0 (zero). Your calls will be interrupted without forewarning when the credit reaches zero. We strongly advise that you top-up your Prepaid Plus SIM card before the remaining airtime credit is depleted.

Service Life

Once activated, the airtime credit is valid for 30 days after which all calls will be barred. When you add airtime, any unused balance from the previous period will be carried forward. All SIM cards that are not reloaded for a continuous period of 1 year will be disconnected.
