If you plan on visiting Egypt any time soon, don’t take off without a prepaid SIM card. The Egypt SIM card provides a simple, convenient, and affordable way for any traveler to make and receive those all-important calls while abroad.

The prepaid SIM card for Egypt is a practical option for using your existing world phone as a prepaid Egypt cell phone while you’re in the country at a better rate than you’d pay for an Egypt cell phone rental. It’s also a trouble-free ticket to using the same options that the Egyptians themselves use—the local Egyptian cell phone system. The SIM chip, combined with an unlocked GSM World cell phone, helps you keep the lines of communication open without being burdened by high international roaming surcharges applicable when you use your “home” SIM card abroad. You’ll likewise enjoy the benefit of SMS text messaging, voicemail, a local cell phone number in Egypt, and FREE incoming calls. The prepaid feature gives you complete control over your costs, and with our low domestic and international calling rates, having a cell phone in Egypt is affordable for all. Access to customer service from your Egypt cellular phone is available 24 hour a day, so you’ll always have assistance with any unexpected issues or questions about your calls. No yearly contract, monthly charges, or credit check is involved.

Your Egypt SIM Card will require a SIM-unlocked GSM cell phone that supports the 900 frequency. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for your consideration. Please click here for more information.

Adding Airtime

Your Egypt SIM card includes two EGP 50 airtime vouchers, and EGP 5 preloaded, which you may load to your SIM when you arrive in Egypt. Additional airtime credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, not another SIM card, in Egypt. Airtime vouchers are available throughout Egypt at most local convenience stores, Mobinil authorized dealers and distributors. These airtime vouchers are available in the following EGP denominations: 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300.

To add a voucher, simply scratch off the gray protective layer to reveal your voucher code. When typed into the keypad of your international cell phone, the voucher code will add the respective denomination you purchased to your SIM card balance.

Remember not to purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted, you only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free, even when you run out of airtime.

Service Life

You Egypt SIM card will expire from 2 months after you arrive in Egypt and turn on your world phone. Each time you add airtime, the 2 month validity period re-starts from that date.
